People often ask about the tattoos on my arm.

For most people, tattoos are reminders—small pieces of their story permanently displayed. I’m no different. Each collection of ink marks a moment, a belief, or a person who matters. A dark, twisty tree reminds me of an internal struggle. My children’s birth flowers grow on either side, their roots intertwined. Two palm trees and a crescent moon honor my marriage in South Carolina. Every piece is connected. Every piece tells a story.

And that’s the thing about stories… they stick.

Long after the slides fade or the meeting ends, we remember the meaning attached to a good story. It’s how our brains are wired. Stories create emotion, add context, and build trust. I believe both learning and leadership should work the exact same way.

My name is Kelly Halbrock. I’m a narrative strategist, team coach, and former video producer who spent over 20 years in the trenches of corporate communication.

Throughout my career I’ve been surrounded by stories. I’ve hosted podcasts, directed corporate culture events, produced video series, and captured more testimonials than I can count and I’ve always been fascinated by one core truth: storytelling changes the way people learn, remember, and lead.

Today, I don't act as an outsourced course builder. Instead, I bring a creative director’s eye and two decades of narrative expertise to enterprise L&D teams, Knowledge Management departments, and business founders. I help organizations evaluate high-stakes programs, align internal strategy, and coach teams to deliver human-centered experiences that actually land.
